How we built this setup
Start with sleep and privacy. Extra pillows with protectors and a neutral throw give guests options, while temporary blackout curtains help when the room's normal window treatment is not enough. Keep the bed clear and make it obvious which linens are clean and available.
Small conveniences have high value in a guest room. A bedside lamp with a USB port handles late reading and phone charging, a towel set removes the need to search the bathroom, and a small HEPA purifier can support the room when it is closed for long periods. A white-noise machine is optional and should not be assumed to suit every guest.
Think through the guest's route from door to bed to bathroom. Confirm curtain width, lamp outlet placement, pillow sizes, towel count, purifier room guidance, and current product details before buying.
Guest-room checks:
β’ Put clean pillows, bedding, towels, and a throw where guests can find them.
β’ Test the bedside lamp and leave an accessible charging path.
β’ Check that temporary curtains fit without damaging the rental or window frame.
β’ Remove personal clutter so guests have a clear surface and route.
